Chief Executive Officer
Britta came to Encompass Health from Wellmont Health System in June 2015 as the director of quality and risk. With more than 26 years in healthcare, her experience includes quality, patient safety, patient satisfaction, IT, regulatory compliance and infection prevention. Britta also was the administrator for the NeuroScience Service line where she helped developed a Joint Commission-certified stroke program. She has served for many years as an examiner for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence and as an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program. In 2007, Britta led the Wellmont Health System to win the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence Award. Britta has served multiple years as a board member for United Way of Greater Kingsport. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from East Tennessee State University with a double minor in physics and finance.
Director of Case Management
Gabbi joined Encompass Health in 2017 as part of the case management team and promoted to director of case management later that year. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in health and human performance and received her certification for case management through the CCMC. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Case Managers and has worked in healthcare for more than 15 years.
Human Resources Director
Christy received a degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources from East Tennessee State University in 2000. She has worked in healthcare since graduating. Christy has been with Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth, since 2006, became the director of human resources in December 2014 and received her Professional in Human Resources Certification in May of 2017.
Director of Quality & Rick/ Director of Facilities Management
Ashley joined Encompass Health as a speech-language pathologist in 2009 and has served as a department manager since 2010. She holds a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Radford University. In addition, she holds a master’s of business administration with a healthcare endorsement from King College. Ashley is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM). She currently serves as director of therapy operations, quality, and risk management.
