Our Birmingham Home Office includes professionals who work in accounting and finance, operations, business development, billing, human resources, information technology and legal. This office of approximately 500+ employees supports our team across the country who deliver a better way to care every day.
Our Home Offices exist to support our hospitals and clinicians with consistent, on-demand service, allowing them to provide superior care and successful outcomes for our patients.
It’s probably not the ideal response but I started working here because I was looking to move back to the Birmingham area after grad school, and Encompass Health made me a great offer. After getting here I noticed that people were really friendly; not only everyday co-workers, but also the corporate leadership. They’ve always been very easy to approach and talk to. Our culture has a way of making you feel like you’re not working for a company, but working with a company. You feel like you’re a part of something special and you actually belong.

Each new employee begins their career with a comprehensive orientation. During orientation, you will get to know more about Encompass Health, understand how your role supports our company purpose, meet new co-workers and learn more about the training and benefits available to you as an employee.
While your day-to-day role may be in our Home Office, we understand how important it is for every employee to experience the work we do to help patients in our community. We make arrangements for each new employee to tour of one of our hospitals. This allows them to see how their role impacts our patients and how our common values guide everything we do.
Our leadership wants to connect with each employee who will help to support our hospitals and patients within Encompass Health. We invite new employees to attend a meet and greet where they can be introduced to a member of our senior leadership team and have open dialogue regarding our overall strategy and direction of the organization.
