Chief Executive Officer
Dustin joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown in September 2018 as the nurse manager. He was promoted to director of quality & risk management in July 2022. Dustin has extensive experience in critical care having spent 17 years in a level one trauma center as a bedside nurse and several years as an assistant nurse manager. Dustin achieved his associate degree in nursing from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2006. He went on to get a bachelor’s degree in science from Immaculata University in 2010 and received his master’s degree in nursing with a leadership concentration from Wilmington University in 2022.
Controller
Justin joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown in 2024 as the controller and brings more than 30 years of accounting, finance and leadership experience. Justin is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and in 2023 obtained his master’s degree in business management with a concentration in finance from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
Chief Nursing Officer
Becky started her career with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown as a staff nurse when the hospital opened in December 2014. She moved to charge nurse before being promoted to her current position of chief nursing officer. Her experience includes working in areas of cardiac and acute care. She achieved her associate's degree in nursing from Delaware Technical and Community College and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in nursing at Wilmington University in Dover.
Director of Therapy Operations
Lauren joined Encompass Health in March 2020. She has 12 years of experience caring for patients as a physical therapist, with experience in both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient sports and orthopedics. Most recently, she was a partner and site manager for an outpatient company based in Delaware. She is passionate about mentoring and guiding the careers of newer clinicians in order to provide evidenced based care and allow for the best clinical outcomes. She is a board certified in both orthopedics and sports and holds a doctorate degree in physical therapy from University of Delaware, currently ranked as the top physical therapy program in the United States.
Director of Pharmacy
Darrall has been with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown since 2010. He has more than 15 years of healthcare experience including: inpatient rehabilitation, community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy in small community and university medical centers, pharmaceutical research, and medical writing. Darrall earned his doctor of pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. His professional interests include drug information, physical medicine and rehabilitation, nutrition, and family medicine. His passion is to provide the highest level of pharmaceutical care to his patients and the pursuit of life-long learning.
Senior Human Resources Director
Anitra Jones has worked in human resources and recruiting for 13 years. Her professional experience includes policy-planning, management, personnel development, benefits and recruitment. Anitra has demonstrated experience in addressing and implementing strategic plans for talent acquisition, retention and succession planning. She has a special focus on: OSHA reporting, organization re-engineering, team building, presentation and public speaking, training and mentoring, employee relations and customer relationship management. Anitra holds her Bachelor of Science degree from Lincoln University, Pa., in addition to various HR certifications.
Facilities Management Director
Kevin joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown in December 2014. Most recently he served as the director of support services in an acute care hospital and brings extensive knowledge in facility and safety management to the Encompass Health Middletown. Kevin has more than 30 years in health care experience.
Director of Quality & Risk
Rebecca joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown team in 2015 as a registered nurse. Before being promoted to director of quality and risk management, Rebecca was the hospital educator and employee health nurse for seven years and served as a preceptor in her educator role for the Northeast region. Rebecca brings 14 years of experience in healthcare with 12 years dedicated to rehabilitation. Rebecca is committed to providing the optimal patient experience and driving quality outcomes. Rebecca holds an associate degree in nursing from Cecil College, has been a certified rehabilitation registered nurse (CRRN) since 2020 and is a current member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN).
Director of Case Management
Katisha joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown in February 2020. With an extensive background in acute care hospitals, she brings more than 16 years of combined experience in the healthcare industry to her role as director of case management. Katisha earned her bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from Wilmington University and her master’s degree in social work from Delaware State University.
Business Development Director
Christie Watlington joined Encompass Health as a clinical nurse liaison in 2014 at the newly opened Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Middletown. She was promoted to senior liaison in 2016 where she worked closely with the leadership team. In 2021 she was promoted to business development director. Christie has extensive experience in the areas of orthopedic, neurological and trauma-related injuries after having spent 14 years as a registered nurse in a level one trauma center. Her community involvement includes volunteering and participating in many groups, organizations and schools in the Middletown area. She also serves on the committee for fundraising efforts to support the American Heart Association of Delaware. Christie earned her nursing degree at Delaware Technical and Community College in 2000.
