At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pearland, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Pearland, we serve the greater Houston area as a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, amputation and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Micah Sims, 39, was hospitalized on April 9, with COVID-19. He was on a ventilator for 30 days and also on a trach. He lost nearly 40 pounds. When he came to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pearland he couldn't walk or talk, but during his two-week stay, he was able to regain the ability to do both.

Chief Executive Officer
As medical director, Dr. Rose will work with clinicians and other staff members to create a care plan designed to meet the needs of each patient. After completing medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Rose completed a transitional year in Dearborn at Oakwood Hospital then completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Rose has also completed a fellowship with a brain injury and stroke program. She holds membership with the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Rose is an independent private practice physician.
Director of Facilities Management
Charles Akers serves as director for facilities for Encompass Health. He has over 15 years working in facilities, the last four serving as director in the medical field. He served in the United States Marine Corps where he learned teamwork and high morale help to accomplish any goal. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and is currently pursuing a MBA degree. He is committed to providing a safe environment and positive experience for all staff and patients.
Keaton joined the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth team in 2017 as the regional finance analyst for the southwest region.
Keaton joined the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth team in 2017 as the regional finance analyst for the southwest region. He then served as the regional accounting manager before joining the Encompass Health Rehabilitation of Pearland team. Keaton is responsible for enabling an environment that allows for the highest quality of care by directing the accounting and finance function of the hospital. Keaton received his bachelor’s degree in financial management from the University of St. Thomas.

Lisiane Church is a Clinical Social Worker and has a Ph.D. from University of Houston. Ms. Church has been working in the Health Care System for 15 + years. She served as an Administrator for Joint Commission Certification in 2007 at Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire and it was successfully granted. Ms. Church’s goals are to provide patients/families the best Hospital Experience and a safe discharge to the Community.

Ruby Roy serves as the pharmacy director for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Pearland. She received her pharmacology degree from Texas Southern University’s college of pharmacy. Ruby has held leadership roles as a director and consultant pharmacist with over 12 years of experience in providing quality pharmaceutical and clinical services to retail, private and public health settings. Ruby has a track record of maintaining positive relationships with customers, pharmaceutical representatives and medical professionals and is adept at changing according to evolving and changing pharmacy industry.
Chief Nursing Officer
Natalie Zamulinski, joined Encompass Health Pearland November 2019 as chief nursing officer. Natalie comes with over 27 years' experience in the healthcare from bedside nursing and education to leadership roles. She brings a unique perspective, with enhanced focus on the patient family centered experience, ensuring exceptional quality care, and patient safety. In addition, she creates and implements nursing practice standards to optimize patient care delivery while continuing to support nursing leadership development and succession planning. Natalie earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 1992 and her master's degree in healthcare and management from Western Governors University in 2016.
