HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land will hold a special event to unveil its new name and brand as part of its company’s name change and rebranding initiative. Beginning April 1, the inpatient rehabilitation hospital will be known as Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sugar Land and will continue to provide the same high-quality post-acute care for patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries.

The celebration will be held on Thursday, April 12 from 5-7 p.m. at the hospital, located at 1325 Highway 6 in Sugar Land. The event, which is being held in conjunction with the Fort Bend Chamber Network Nites and Bites, is open to the community and will offer live music and refreshments.

Birmingham, Alabama-based HealthSouth Corporation began its new name and brand change of Encompass Health on Jan. 1, 2018 and will be transitioning its 127 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, 200 home health locations and 37 hospice agencies serving 36 states and Puerto Rico through 2019. All of the Company’s post-acute care service locations in Texas will migrate to the Encompass Health name and branding on April 1.
