Abilene man returns home to wife after rehabilitation for COVID-19 complications

Experiencing bad headaches and shortness of breath, 53 year old Ray Montelongo of Abilene was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 on Oct. 14, 2020. Medical staff was concerned for his life, but Ray started rebounding and getting stronger after a trach was placed to help him breathe easier. When he was strong enough for rehabilitation, he was transferred to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene so that he could return home to his No. 1 fan, his wife, at a higher level of independence.
