Regional Rehabilitation Hospital team shares the importance of therapy for stroke survivors

May is National Stroke Awareness Month, and stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide. Approximately 795,000 people in the United States suffer from a stroke each year, according to the American Stroke Association – meaning that approximately every 40 seconds, someone suffers a stroke. Around two-thirds of stroke survivors will require rehabilitation services to help them live fuller, more independent lives after being treated in the hospital. The team at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital discusses the importance of therapy for stroke survivors in an interview with Beam 7 – “Street Talk with Loretta Rose”.
