Hospital happenings

Bobby Bray

Robert "Bobby" Bray and his wife, Loretta, were enjoying their second ride on their new motorcycle Feb. 16 when an oncoming car hit them. Mr. Bray lost his wife that night and suffered multiple traumatic injuries himself. With the help of friends and his church, he was able to begin recovery at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala.

At the end of his stay he was walking with the use of a platform walker and was able to complete all self-care tasks independently. "Here they don't treat you like a patient, they treat you like family," he said. During his stay, My Bray was able to attend his wife's funeral, which he described as a "celebration of her life." He said he followed all his physicians’ precautions and returned to Encompass Health to continue his therapy.
