What is stroke rehabilitation?

At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Tucson, we know the effects of a stroke are as unique as each of our patients. We also know that many conditions experienced after a stroke may improve with time and specialized rehabilitation.

Through a coordinated care approach, we implement a personalized treatment plan for each patient, proactively communicating and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. Inpatient stroke rehabilitation

At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Tucson, you’ll receive at least three hours of inpatient rehabilitative therapy five days per week. By combining speech, occupational and physical therapy, your team of therapists will work with you on achieving your unique goals. Our functional approach to therapy includes daily activities such as grooming, dressing, cooking, leisure activities and more. Many of our activities of daily living suites are complete with bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms to give you a chance to practice the skills you’ll rely on most when you return home.

When you choose Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Tucson for inpatient rehabilitation, you will receive round-the-clock nursing care, including nurses who specialize in rehabilitative care and understand your needs through the rehabilitation process. You’ll also receive regular physician visits to ensure your care plan is on track to help you reach your highest level of independence.
