Our sustainability story
At Encompass Health sustainability is nothing new – it’s engrained in everything we do as one of the nation’s leading providers in post-acute care.
In 2018, we changed our name and brand to, in part, reflect and promote the sustainability of our business model. Our new brand signifies our commitment to creating a seamless patient care network where high-quality care is coordinated by clinical teams across inpatient and home settings. The name Encompass Health represents the union of our legacy foundational businesses – HealthSouth and Encompass Home Health & Hospice.
As part of our rebranding efforts, we declared our purpose “to provide a better way to care that elevates expectations and outcomes” and articulated our core values. By connecting all parts of our Company through a shared purpose and a set of values, we’ll ensure that all team members are consistently delivering connected care and superior outcomes, which will in turn further the sustainability of our business.
