When Yolanda Lawrence first went to the doctor with a headache and fever, she was told she had bronchitis. However, she started feeling even worse and barely remembers going back to the doctor a second time when they diagnosed her with COVID-19. Yolanda spent five weeks in the hospital, including 17 days on a ventilator. Once she was ready to continue her recovery, she was admitted to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Newnan for two weeks to help her regain the strength and function she needed to return back home.
