Hospital happenings

Stephen Ramsey has been in hospitals and other facilities since May and had not seen his wife since June 19. It is hard enough dealing with difficult health issues, but even harder when you cannot see your wife. COVID-19 visitor restrictions kept the Ramsey’s from being together. They have been able to FaceTime and connect via social media, but not actually sit in the same room and hold hands.

Monica Medina-Espinosa decided she was going to change that and make the couple's first visit special. She ordered Italian food, secured a private conference room at the hospital, and set the ambiance with flowers, balloons and decorations. From there it was up to Stephen to invite his date, Mariah Ramsey, over for dinner! Looks like they had a pretty good time dining in the privacy of the conferences room. Thanks to Monica and all of our Encompass Health of Colorado Springs staff for going the extra mile for our patients and families.
