Our experienced neurorehabilitation team uses innovative technology combined with proven therapy techniques to help patients with brain injuries Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), Guillain-Barré syndrome, Lou Gehrig’s disease and other conditions that affect the brain and nervous system. Treatments can help with mobility, speech, swallowing, spasticity and cognitive function.
Advanced therapy is crucial to the recovery process after trauma injuries, hip fracture, joint replacement, amputation and other orthopedic injuries. As leaders in stroke rehabilitation, we help patients adjust to and treat the mental and physical effects of stroke, with the goal of regaining their greatest level of independence. Rehabilitation for spinal cord injury is complex and multifaceted. Chief Executive Officer
Jason has been in healthcare for more than 35 years and has served for the last 15 years in senior leadership. He spent the majority of his career leading in the acute care setting but has experience in consulting, sales, developing joint ventures and mentoring future leaders. He is passionate about serving his community and volunteering his time to serve on boards for local community-serving, non-profit organizations.
Medical Director
Dr. Poluri joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati as the medical director in 2016. Previously, he served as the medical director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Kentucky. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Pain Medicine. Dr. Poluri completed his medical doctorate at Gandhi Medical College in India, his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stony Brook University, his internship at Montefiore Medical Center and his interventional pain fellowship at the National Pain Institute in Florida.
Dr. Poluri is an independent private practice physician.
Program Director for Neuropsychology
Dr. Bouman received a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with emphasis in rehabilitation and neuropsychology. She currently provides inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy, adjustment counseling, and patient/family education to people with a variety of disabilities and illnesses, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, amputation, organ transplant, severe medical deconditioning, cancer, and other medical problems. In addition to leadership at HealthSouth, she also serves as Division Director for Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology in University of Cincinnati’s Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine. She reviews for Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation and has co-authored an invited chapter in The Handbook of Rehabilitation Psychology. Dr. Bouman is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Rehabilitation Psychology division of APA.

Amputee Program Director
Dr. Pajor is an assistant professor with the department of neurology and rehabilitation at the University of Cincinnati. She joined UC in July 2016 after completing her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital in Chicago. She is the director for the physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program at UC. Her primary clinical interests include inpatient rehabilitation with a focus on spinal cord rehabilitation and amputation and prosthetic management. Upon joining as faculty, she developed and continues to lead a multidisciplinary clinic for care of patients with amputations. Dr. Pajor also serves as the program director of the amputee program at Encompass Health.
Spinal Cord Injury Program Director
Dr. Shoreman returned to Cincinnati in January 2021. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Shoreman completed her residency program in physical medicine and rehabilitation at The University of Colorado in 2015 before returning to Cincinnati to complete hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at The Christ Hospital in 2016. Dr. Shoreman has been practicing rehabilitation medicine since 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio and Denver, Colorado. Dr. Shoreman largely specializes in general and neurorehabilitation with a focus on spinal cord injury medicine within Encompass Health and long term with UC Health PM&R team including the multidisciplinary spinal cord clinic. She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and sub-specialty board certified in hospice and palliative medicine.
Facilities Management Director
Gus Bowling has lived in the Greater Cincinnati area all of his life and currently resides in the Cincinnati area. He has 20 years of experience in the Healthcare industry and 15 years in Building Management. He started his career as a Maintenance Technician and later graduated to a Maintenance Supervisor. He has been with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati for 11 years and currently serves as the Director of Plant Operations and Safety Officer at Encompass Health Cincinnati.
Director of Case Management
Megan began her career at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati in 2016 as an occupational therapist. She transitioned into the case management department in 2021. Megan received a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Xavier University. Megan is a licensed occupational therapist and certified case manager in the state of Ohio.
Chief Nursing Officer
Sharee brings almost 20 years of nursing experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati. She started her career in nursing in 2003 as a nursing aide and has grown to positions such as LPN, RN, supervisor, manager and now associate chief nursing officer. She has a passion for providing exceptional patient care, developing the clinical abilities of her nursing team and collaborating with other departments. Sharee is certified in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support and with the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale.
Director of Quality & Risk
Jessica serves as the director of quality and risk for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati. Before joining Encompass Health, she served as director of rehabilitation in skilled nursing facilities throughout the greater Cincinnati metropolitan area as well as corporate rehab director for contract therapy. Jessica received a master’s degree in speech pathology from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology from Miami University. Jessica is a licensed speech language pathologist in the state of Ohio.
Controller
Matt has over 30 years of experience in financial management coupled with a master's degree in healthcare management from Walden University in 2013. He is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, serving in the Medical Service Corp of the Army (ARNG) and Navy (USNR) branches of service. In 1990, he was awarded the highest civilian honor from the Governor of Kentucky: the title of Kentucky Colonel for his humanitarian service to the community. He remains active in the community by being of service to others.
Human Resources Director
Kelly joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati in 2015. She brings more than 15 years of human resources experience to the role of human resources director at Encompass Health at Drake. Prior to joining HealthSouth, Kelly served as human resources coordinator at Select Specialty Hospital. She attended Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and Northern Kentucky University.
Director of Therapy Operations
Katie’s career at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Cincinnati began in 2011 as a physical therapist. During her time in the therapy department, she was promoted to physical therapy team lead, then to therapy manager. Katie holds two bachelor’s degrees from The University of Akron, a master’s degree in physical therapy from The Ohio State University and a doctorate in physical therapy from Shenandoah University.
Brain Injury Program Director
Dr. Zeldin is a board-certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with the UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute. He shares his expertise in treating patients with traumatic brain injuries by leveraging evidence-based medicine and creating individualized treatment strategies. He serves as our TBI director at Encompass Health.
