SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 14, 2020 – Larry Niemann has been named CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Scottsdale. In his position as CEO, Niemann oversees all of the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital. He assumed the position on March 16.

“Larry is a proven leader in the post-acute hospital space and is a great addition to lead our team in Scottsdale,” said Jerry Gray, president of Encompass Health’s west region. “He will continue to build on Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Scottsdale’s reputation of being a preeminent healthcare provider for patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries.”

Niemann brings 30 years of healthcare experience leading teams to achieve operational excellence and superior patient outcomes. Niemann previously served as CEO at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of East Valley for two years and also held various hospital administration roles within the CHI Health System based in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a member of the American Congress of Healthcare Executives. Niemann earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is in the process of obtaining a master’s degree in business administration from Purdue University.
