STUART, Fla., Sept. 2, 2020– Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Martin Health in Stuart recently opened its fourth and final bed expansion. With the addition of 16 beds, the hospital, located at 5850 SE Community Dr., can now serve up to 80 patients at a time.

Since opening its doors in June of 2013 with 34-beds, the hospital has undergone four expansions to meet the growing demand for intensive and comprehensive rehabilitation services in the area. The hospital serves patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries including strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. It provides physical, occupational and speech therapies that aim to restore functional ability and quality of life and 24‑hour care by registered nurses, many of whom are certified in rehabilitation nursing.
