NEWNAN, Ga., Oct. 19, 2020 – This week, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Newnan will open 10 new private rooms to treat patients in need of a hospital-level of care for rehabilitation services. With the addition of 10 beds, the hospital, located at 2101 E. Newnan Crossing Blvd., can now serve up to 60 patients at a time.

Since opening its doors in December of 2014 with 50 beds, the hospital has helped approximately 5,000 patients return to the community at their highest levels of independence. The demand for care lead the hospital to add more beds to help meet the need for intensive and comprehensive rehabilitation services in the area. The hospital serves patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries including strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and complex orthopedic conditions. It provides physical, occupational and speech therapies that aim to restore functional ability and quality of life and 24 hour care by registered nurses, many of whom are certified in rehabilitation nursing.
