On Feb. 24, the Casey family got to celebrate “Pops” returning home after his 10-week battle with COVID-19. After a lengthy hospital stay where he was given a trach and emergency dialysis, Douglas Casey, known affectionately as Pops, came to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner of Encompass Health, to relearn how to walk, eat and swallow through intensive therapy.
