Woman Successfully Recovers From Rare COVID-19 Vaccine Reaction At Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital

Brandy Parker-McFadden, a wife and mother of three, was partially paralyzed due to an extremely rare reaction to Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine, which left her unable to move her legs. Doctors thought she may never walk again, but 13 days after she was admitted to Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital, she was able to walk out of the hospital on her own thanks to countless hours of intensive therapy. In an interview with WKRN, her husband James says through tears: “It was amazing, because I walked up here, and we danced for a minute.”
