Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital relaunches stroke recovery support group meetings in person

May is National Stroke Awareness Month, and approximately 795,000 people in the United States suffer from a stroke each year, according to the American Stroke Association, meaning that nearly every 40 seconds, someone suffers from a stroke. In an interview with WEHT, Lauren Weil, Business Development Director at Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital, shares how the hospital helps patients focus on their goals and return to their normal lives through therapy and rehabilitation. This week, the hospital relaunched in-person stroke recovery support group meetings.
