PARKERSBURG, W.V., Jan. 11, 2022– Nate Ford has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Parkersburg. In his position as CEO, Ford will oversee all of the day-to-day operations, as well as patient care and quality, at the 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 3 Western Hills Drive. He assumed the position on Nov. 15.

Ford joined Encompass Health in June 2012, where he first served as nurse and later nurse supervisor and chief nursing officer at Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Phenix City, Alabama. In 2018, Ford joined the leadership team at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga where he served as associate administrator at the 50-bed hospital. He most recently served as CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Shelby County in Pelham, Alabama. In this role, he rebuilt the leadership team, enhanced hospital culture and staff engagement, and improved key operational performance indicators, while also managing challenges presented by the global COVID pandemic.

Ford completed his associate degree in nursing from Chattahoochee Valley Community College both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Illinois.
