Local playwright recovers from accident at Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital

Playwright and truck driver Hartley Wright is grateful for the support of family and friends after a crash involving a concrete mixer left him with many broken bones, resulting in nearly two weeks in the ICU and 20 days in an acute care hospital. Hartley spent one week in inpatient rehabilitation at Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital before returning home. He says, “Knowing that I was alive, it didn’t matter what I had experienced – [I just needed to focus on] what do I need to do to move forward.” Hartley continues to visit Rusk Rehabilitation Hospital for outpatient physical and occupational therapy.
