Shivani Bass named CEO of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis at St. Peters

PETERS, Mo., Feb. 23, 2022 - Shivani Bass has been appointed as chief executive officer of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis at St. Peters, an affiliation of BJC HealthCare and Encompass Health. In her position as CEO, Bass will oversee all of the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 35-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 10 Hospital Drive in St. Peters. She assumed the position in September 2021.

Bass has served in multiple clinical and leadership roles at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis since joining the hospital team in 2007 as a staff physical therapist. She served in this role for more than seven years, and then transitioned to lead physical therapist before becoming therapy manager and most recently director of therapy operations. In her role as director of therapy operations, Bass managed the therapy department at both hospital locations in St. Louis and St. Peters, which is comprised of 131 beds and approximately 120 employees.

A licensed physical therapist, Bass completed her bachelor’s degree in exercise science at the University of Delaware and her doctorate of physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis.
