Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital raises awareness for Parkinson’s disease

Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital is raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease during the month of April. During an interview with WEHT-TV, Lauren Weil, Encompass Health’s Business Development Director, talked about some of the first symptoms and early signs of Parkinson’s disease. Weil says, “For these individuals, a medication regiment and exercise are two key components to help them decrease and ease their symptoms.” She adds that Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital offers great resources for the community, including an exercise class on Wednesday afternoons that anyone can join – they need not be a patient. Pre-registration is not required for those who wish to attend the classes. Learn more on WEHT
