MECHANICSBURG, Pa., October 7, 2022- Kristen Turner has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Mechanicsburg. In her position as CEO, Turner oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 75-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 175 Lancaster Boulevard. She assumed the position in September.

“Kristen is a skillful leader who brings nearly two decades of inpatient care experience to her new role as CEO at Encompass Health of Mechanicsburg,” said Pat Tuer, President of Encompass Health’s Northeast region. “Throughout her career, Kristen has exemplified exceptional leadership, and I am confident in her vision for the hospital.”

Prior to her role as CEO, Turner most recently served as associate administrator of Encompass Health of Mechanicsburg. Since joining Encompass Health in 2003, she has served in various administrative and operational roles, including 13 years as director of therapy operations at Encompass Health of Henderson. Her accomplishments with Encompass Health include serving the Henderson hospital as the program coordinator of The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification for wound care management, stroke and brain injury.

Turner earned both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Stockton University, formerly known as The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and previously served on the executive leadership team for American Stroke Association.
