ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky., November 18, 2022- David Fredericks has been appointed as chief executive officer of >Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lakeview. In his position as CEO, Fredricks oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 134 Heartland Drive in Elizabethtown. He assumed the position in­­­­­­­ October.

Fredericks has served in various clinical and leadership roles with Encompass Health since starting his career with the company in 2011 as a physical therapist. Prior to his present role as CEO of Encompass Health of Lakeview, Fredericks assisted in the opening of two rehabilitation hospitals in California and Washington where he served as the director of therapy operations. Along with being a licensed physical therapist, Fredricks also holds geriatric and neurological specialties, with a specific interest in Parkinson’s disease.

“David brings over a decade of experience at Encompass Health to his new position as CEO of Encompass Health of Lakeview,” said Troy DeDecker, President of Encompass Health’s Central region. “His expertise makes him great fit to serve as CEO, and I am confident he will continue to make positive contributions at the hospital and the community of Elizabethtown.”

Fredericks earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University, his master’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University, and his doctorate degree in physical therapy from The University of Nebraska Medical Center.
