Scott Peterson named CEO of Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 5, 2024- Scott Peterson has been appointed as chief executive officer of Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital, an 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 2201 Children’s Way in Nashville. In his position as CEO, Peterson oversees the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including, the provision of high-quality patient care. He assumed the CEO position in June.

“Scott brings nearly two decades of experience with Encompass Health to his new position as CEO of Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital,” said Troy DeDecker, president of Encompass Health’s Central region. “His wealth of leadership experience makes him a great fit to serve as CEO, and I am confident in his ability to facilitate the best patient rehabilitative experience for the patients of the Nashville community.”

Prior to his current role as CEO of Vanderbilt Stallworth Hospital, Peterson served as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Franklin. Throughout his tenure, the hospital was consistently a top performer in patient outcomes, patient experience and overall operation. Furthermore, Peterson previously worked at Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital from 2013 to 2015, where he served as an associate administrator and interim CEO.
