ROUND ROCK, Texas - Sept. 30, 2024- Tarra Washington has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Round Rock. The hospital is a 75-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital at 1400 Hester’s Crossing in Round Rock, Texas. Encompass Health of Round Rock holds The Joint Commission Specific Certification for brain injury, stroke, hip fracture and wound care.

Washington joins Encompass Health with 15 years of healthcare experience, including 13 years of bedside experience in large acute care settings and in acute rehabilitation settings specializing in neurological conditions and trauma. She has held strategic market leadership and CEO roles across the United States and in the United Kingdom for national post-acute care companies.

Washington earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University, master’s degree in business administration from Temple University and bachelor’s degree in biology from Kean University. Washington was also recently named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s “2024 Black Healthcare Leaders to Know” list.
