Hospital Happenings

Ileana Stiller woke up without feeling in her left hand and fell. She was transported the hospital where she was diagnosed with a stroke. When she arrived at Encompass Health Spring Hill, she was completely dependent on all functions. Her physical therapist, Megan Ryan, and student, Corey Caudle, credit Ileana’s extraordinary recovery to her relentless motivation to get better. Her first week started very slow with very little progress, but she began regaining strength to stand, and today, she’s walking again. Ileana shared, “Everybody has been great and very helpful. Megan and Corey were very creative in helping me walk again. Stacy helped me refocus on my left side, improve my attention and got me eating normal food again. My occupational therapist, Jerri, and nursing team were also so wonderful. This place is so great I will recommend it to anybody.” After three weeks of stroke rehabilitation at Encompass Health Spring Hill, she can’t wait to go home and see her family and two dogs, Murphy & Bailey, again.
