READING, PA, May 20, 2021 – Judy Parker has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Reading. In her position as CEO, Parker will oversee all of the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 1623 Morgantown Road. She assumed the position on May 17, 2021.

Parker previously served as the associate administrator at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Braintree and interim CEO, as part of Encompass Health’s Developing Future CEO program. In this leadership role, Parker managed the hospital’s COVID task force, assisted with completion of the annual budget, and led clinical and non-clinical teams to improve hospital and patient outcomes. Parker has more than 17 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including roles in admitting, revenue cycle, and patient access. Parker also served in the United States Army for four years as a helicopter repairman.

Parker earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and both her master’s degree in organizational leadership and doctoral degree in organizational leadership in health care administration from Grand Canyon University.
