COVID-19 survivor returns home after nearly six months in hospital

After nearly six months in the hospital battling COVID-19, Lloyd Jarrell was finally able to return home to his wife. Lloyd contracted COVID in February, and his condition became so severe that he was placed on ECMO for more than two months. The virus also caused Lloyd to go into cardiac arrest at the hospital, requiring him to receive CPR for more than five minutes. After months of recovery in the ICU, Lloyd came to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Ocala in mid-July for inpatient rehabilitation to regain his strength and learn to walk again. Lloyd has made incredible progress, and he shared more about his recovery in an interview with WESH.
