HUMBLE, Texas, Mar. 6, 2023- Johnathan Strader has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Humble. In his position as CEO, Strader oversees the day-to-day operations as well as patient care and quality at the 90-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital, located at 19002 McKay Drive. He assumed the position in January.

“As a licensed occupational therapist, Johnathan brings nearly ten years of healthcare and leadership experience to his new role as CEO,” said Frank Brown, President of Encompass Health’s Southwest region. “His clinical and leadership experience makes him a great fit to lead the hospital team and I am confident that he will continue to facilitate the best patient rehabilitative care experience at Encompass Health of Humble.”

Strader first joined Encompass Health in January 2013 as an occupational therapist at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Austin. He most recently served as director of therapy operations at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital The Vintage in Houston, Texas. His accomplishments with Encompass Health include leading the hospital through its achievement of The Joint Commission recertification as a Disease Specific Care facility for Stroke as Chair of the DSC Stroke Program in 2022.

Strader earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his master’s degree in occupational therapy from The University of Central Arkansas. He is a former member of the United States Army Reserve where he gained his Bronze Star for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
