Congratulations to our DAISY Award honoree, Alexandra Cleary-Grusendorf, BSN, RN. The DAISY Award is a nationally recognized award to celebrate the extraordinary compassion nurses provide their patients and families every day. Patients, family members, visitors and other staff can nominate a nurse. The wife of a patient wrote: “Alexandra is an outstanding, compassionate nurse who goes above and beyond for those she is caring for. The first time I ever met her was when caring for my husband and I will never forget how kind she was. My husband is 6'3" and had a large stroke at 31 years old. He was feeling very defeated that day. She took the time to sit with my husband and me and talk with us about his struggles. You can tell she genuinely cared." We are honored to work with such a dedicated and compassionate individual and we are beyond thrilled to celebrate Alexandra as our DAISY honoree.
