With more than 25 years in healthcare, consisting of clinical and operational roles, Sharon assumed the role of CEO in August 2022 and brings a solid understanding of overall hospital operations to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas. Prior to joining our Dallas team, Sharon served in a variety of leadership roles throughout her career including senior leadership positions in acute and post-acute settings. Most recently she served as the vice president of operations for one of the largest health systems in the U.S. A two-time graduate of Texas Woman’s University, she completed her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, then obtained her master’s degree in business administration. Sharon is passionate in providing quality care to the patients we serve and that everyone has the best experience during their rehabilitation stay.

Yuemeng Dai, MD, PhD, completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and brain injury medicine fellowship training at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Dai is a board-certified physiatrist by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Dai is an active member of American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Texas Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Society, American Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and American Association of Chinese Rehabilitation Physicians.

Dr. Dai is an independent private practice physician.

Casey has been with Encompass Health since 2020 having previously served as senior rehab liaison at Encompass Health’s hospitals in Bedford and Fort Worth, Texas. In her current role, she is responsible for the marketing and admissions teams. She joined Encompass Health holding more than 15 years of marketing experience, with the last eight years being in the medical industry. Casey and her team are committed to advocating for patients to receive the appropriate level of care to reach their full potential.

Elena is the health information management supervisor and hospital HIPAA officer for Encompass Health. Has been in the health information management field since 1993. She has an associates of applied science degree in health information management from Vernon College of Wichita Falls, Texas. Elena is a registered health information technician through AHIMA-American Health Information Management Association. Has a passion for obtaining accurate patient health information and have an open communication with staff members.

Rob graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. He has more than 20 years' experience as a retail/hospital pharmacist. Prior to joining the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas team, he served as director of pharmacy at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Midland. Rob is committed to a team approach focused on improving patient’s lives.

Kendra began her healthcare career as an occupational therapist with Encompass Health in 2013. She previously worked at the Fort Worth and Austin locations as an occupational therapist and OT team leader before transferring to Dallas as the OT team leader in February 2021. Kendra holds a bachelor's degree of interdisciplinary sciences from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of South Dakota. During her time with the company, she has served as the stroke program champion in Austin and on a variety of hospital committees to help improve interdisciplinary collaboration and the patient experience. Kendra holds Neuro-IFRAH and LSVT big certifications.

Brenda brings more than 25 years of experience as a licensed social worker. Brenda came to us from the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Austin where she was the director of case management for three years. Prior experience includes being a case manager for five years at MidAmerica Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas. Brenda has worked in the acute hospital setting, therapeutic foster care, special needs adoptions, skilled nursing and behavioral health. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from The University of Central Missouri, is a certified case manager and licensed Texas social worker.

Raquel is the human resources director for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas. She has dedicated more than 17 years of experience to her career in human resources and majority within the healthcare industry. Raquel has a master’s degree in business administration and management. She is a leader in cultivating a positive culture that enhances an environment that results in driven, dynamic employees and where success, achievement, collaboration and agility are highly valued. Furthermore, where diversity, innovation and authenticity are celebrated.

Sydney has more than five years of inpatient rehabilitation experience. She serves as patient assessment standards coordinator For Encompass Health Dallas. Prior to her PASC role, Sydney served as occupational therapy assistant for Encompass Dallas. In addition, she served in management and leadership roles for five years prior to her graduation from college. She graduated as salutatorian of her class from Brightwood College in 2018. As PASC, Sydney strives to provide the hospital staff with support, education and promoting accuracy.

Prentice has served in healthcare administration for more than 15 years in both acute and post-acute settings. Prior to joining Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas, he served as chief financial officer for Laredo Specialty Hospital. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics and obtained a master's degree from Phoenix University soon after. Prentice enjoys collaborating with team members to create exceptional patient experiences and wonderful working environments.

Michael is the director of facilities management for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas. He is an experienced facilities professional with more than 40 years of trade experience. Michael has extensive knowledge and experience in coordinating operations, maintenance, renovations and construction projects. Prior to joining Encompass Health Dallas, he worked for UT Southwestern for over 21 years and is a US Navy Veteran with years of experience in firefighting. Michael graduated from Eastfield College with a degree in AAS management and has a facilities management professional accreditation. He is a member of the American Hospital Association and International Facility Management Association.

Judy graduated from Florida International University, Miami, Fla. with both a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences/psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She has more than 20 years experience in the healthcare industry and has made a strong impact in patient lives in multiple hospital settings. Prior to joining the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas team, she worked in long term acute care as the director of quality/risk and infection practitioner. She is a member of the North Texas Association for Healthcare Quality.

Lauren graduated from Louisiana State University and went on to pursue a degree in nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College of Nursing of New Orleans. Prior to joining the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas team, she worked in the emergency room and quality sector of acute care. She was the director of clinical and operational excellence as well as the assistant chief nursing officer in New Orleans East helping bring back healthcare to the community after being devastated by Hurricane Katrina. While working in New Orleans, she received her master's degree in healthcare administration from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2021. She then relocated to Texas with her family and has been working as the market chief nursing officer over two local rehabilitation hospitals before joining the Encompass Health team. She is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and is a certified emergency nurse and a certified professional in healthcare quality.
