Michele joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon team as the CEO in April 2022, bringing almost 20 years’ experience in inpatient rehabilitation with her. She began her career at Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in 2003 as a physical therapist in Evansville, Indiana. She became the director of therapy operations at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Tucson in 2014, and participated in the developing future CEO program at Encompass Health Northwest Tucson.  She is a graduate of the University of Evansville with a master’s degree in physical therapy and also has an MBA with a concentration in health care administration. Michele currently serves on the board of directors for Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports (SAAS).

David is the medical director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon. He has been working with Dr. Farzin's group in the Las Vegas area at Mountainview Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit and surrounding LTACHs and SNFs during the past year and is part of the faculty at the HCA Sunrise GME PM&R residency program. David completed PM&R training and medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He has a particular interest in stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury as he was involved in global health and resident education on these topics. David is passionate about delivering patient-centered care and strives to improve the patient experience.

Jacqueline has more than 40 years of nursing experience and served as a critical care nurse for almost 33 years. Most of her career has been dedicated to building new teams, obtaining chest pain accreditation at local hospitals and implementing new clinical programs. Most recently she worked with an IPA and formed a team of case management nurses and navigators.

Ashlyn has worked at Encompass Health Desert Canyon since 2014. She has worked in various aspects of human resources in the healthcare industry since 2009. Prior to that, Ashlyn specialized in training and development with the Sands Corporation. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology, a Bachelor’s of Arts in business administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas as well as a master’s degree in employment law from Penn State University. Ashlyn is also PHR certified.

Charlisha joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon in 2021 as the director of quality and risk management. She brings years of experience in the healthcare industry in several markets including device manufacturing, insurance and patient care services. Charlisha earned a master's degree in healthcare administration and management and a bachelor's degree in human development from California State-East Bay in Hayward, California. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Amy joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon in 2018 and served as a case manager prior to becoming the director of case management. She earned her bachelors’ degree in social work from the University of Montana and a master’s degree in social work from Walla Walla University.  In 2021, Amy earned her certified case manager certificate. Amy has more than 20 years’ experience in case management, including the areas of acute rehabilitation, end stage renal disease and intellectual disabilities.

Christine joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Desert Canyon as the director of pharmacy in August 2022. Prior to joining Encompass Health, she served as the director of pharmacy in the long-term care setting for six years. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in anatomy and physiology. Christine moved to Las Vegas in 2012 to attend Roseman University of Health Sciences where she received her doctorate in pharmacy.

David joined Encompass Health as facilities management director in 2021 after two years of helping start up the UNLV/Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine facilities program. He has more than 16 years of experience in plant operations and facility management.

Tyler joined Encompass Health Desert Canyon in 2009 after graduating from UNLV with his doctorate degree in physical therapy. Tyler has experience working in various settings including outpatient, skilled nursing and long term acute care. In addition to his physical therapy degree, he has also earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration.
