At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Dothan and serving the surrounding area including Enterprise, Geneva and Andalusia, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, hip fracture, amputation and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Margaret has been with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan for more than 18 years and brings more than 20 years of healthcare management experience to Encompass Health Dothan. She is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Margaret received her master’s degree in business administration from Troy University.
Business Development Director
Will has been employed with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan since 1994. He has worked in various positions during his tenure at the hospital but has found that marketing and business development is his passion. Will is a graduate of Wallace College with an associate degree in applied science in respiratory therapy and has been a respiratory therapist for more than 20 years. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration.
Director of Case Management
Natalie has been employed at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan since 2011. Natalie, who has 22 years of nursing experience and 10 years of case management experience, received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Albany State University and her master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in 2013. She is a Certified Case Manager (CCM), a certification for case managers who have expertise, knowledge, and professional experience to provide the right services to patients across the continuum of care, including those with serious or complex medical conditions, and/or catastrophic injuries and illnesses. Natalie is also a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN), a certification that demonstrates knowledge, experience and commitment to excellence in comprehensive care for people with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses in all specialties and settings of rehabilitation.
Director of Pharmacy
Bo began working for Encompass Health Dothan in 2018 and was promoted to director of pharmacy in January 2020. He has a bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern College and a doctorate degree in pharmacy from Auburn University. Bo has over 19 years of experience in all aspects of pharmacy practice. Bo is proud to say he is Dothan native.
Director of Human Resources
Kristina joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan team in 2011. She has more than 13 years of experience in human resources management. She oversees all areas of human resources, such as recruitment and retention. Kristina is a graduate of Troy University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in human resource management also from Troy University. Kristina is member of the Wiregrass Human Resource Management Society and the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce.
Chief Nursing Officer
Casey joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan in 2017. She has more than 17 years of healthcare experience in areas of orthopedics, neurosurgery and med-surg. Casey has held a nurse leadership position for the past 10 years with success in managing departmental operations for an acute care inpatient healthcare system. She obtained an associate degree in nursing from Wallace Community College and bachelor’s in nursing from Jacksonville State University. She is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. Casey is also a certified rehabilitation registered nurse (CRRN®)
Amanda joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan as the hospital controller in May of 2018. She began her career in 2007 as an auditor for a regional accounting firm, providing accounting services to hospitals and financial institutions throughout the southeast. Amanda graduated from Troy State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration in 2009.
Director of Therapy Operations
Luke has been employed by Encompass Health since 2015 and has been the director of therapy operations since 2018. He has more than 12 years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and specializes in spinal cord rehabilitation. Luke graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor's degree in biology and the University of St. Augustine for health sciences with a doctorate in physical therapy. He completed his manual therapy certification in 2009.
Director of Plant Operations
John has more than 20 years of maintenance experience. He has been in healthcare for the past 11 years. John has worked six years as a maintenance supervisor of plant operations until promoted to director of plant operations in December 2013. John also oversees security and is the safety officer at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan. John is a member of the Alabama Society of HealthCare Engineers (ALSHE) and Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH).
Director of Quality and Risk Management
Wanda has been with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dothan since 1998 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the field of nursing and healthcare management. She graduated from Providence School of Nursing with her associate degree in nursing. Wanda later attended Troy University in Dothan and Montgomery where she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing. Wanda is also a certified rehabilitation registered nurse (CRRN®).
