Elizabeth Halkett, OTR/L, serves as the Regional Director of Therapy Operations for Encompass Health’s Southeast region that includes 15 hospitals in Florida and two in Puerto Rico. Elizabeth is an occupational therapist who graduated from the Glasgow College of Occupational Therapy, Glasgow, Scotland in 1984 and joined Encompass Health in 1997.
After serving as a Director of Therapy Operations for 15 years in West Virginia, she moved to Florida and was promoted to her current role. Since then, she has been involved in the opening or acquisition of 13 hospitals, with an additional eight De Novos scheduled over the next two to three years. Elizabeth also serves on the Encompass Health Therapy Leadership Board, helping to establish best practices for Encompass Health clinicians and diving the profession forward through evidence-based practice and innovation.
