Bio
Karina has been employed by Encompass Health since 2017. She now is the Director of Therapy Operations at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wako in Texas.
She quickly grew into leadership beginning as a PRN physical therapist, advancing to a PT lead position and now DTO. Karina is very proud of the opportunities that Encompass Health provides its employees and hopes to continue to foster and develop future leaders in order to set the standard in patient care.
Education
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2012, she continued with her education and achieved a doctorate in physical therapy from Texas Tech University Health Science Center in 2015. After starting her career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, she transitioned and devoted herself to the inpatient rehabilitation setting within the Encompass Health network.
