At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Las Vegas, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Serving Nevada and the greater Las Vegas, Summerlin and Aliante areas, we are a leading provider of rehabilitation after stroke, amputation and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Tij joined Encompass Health Las Vegas (EHLV) in 2013 after completing his master's of science in speech language pathology at the University of Utah. Prior to becoming the EHLV CEO, he served as a speech therapist and, later, as the patient assessment standards coordinator. Most recently, Tij trained as an executive in the Encompass Health CEO development program. He currently serves on the Encompass Health Inclusion and Diversity Committee and holds a lean six sigma black belt. Tij earned dual bachelor's degrees in Russian (arts) and communication science and disorders (science) from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Farzin serves as the medical director for Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Las Vegas. Dr. Farzin received his medical doctorate from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in 1992. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Services at Queens Hospital in Jamaica, NY and his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Farzin is currently board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has been since 2005. He is also a faculty member at the MountainView Internal Medicine Program. Dr. Farzin has served as an attending physician at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Las Vegas since 2004.
Human Resources Director
Cheryl joined with Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth in June of 2015 and was promoted to director of human resources at Encompass Health Las Vegas in April 2016. Prior to joining Encompass Health, she worked for Endeavor Airlines and spent 13 years in management at Home Depot. Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minn. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management where she serves on the board of the Nevada State Chapter as the Young Professionals and College Relations Chair in addition to being a board member of the Southern Nevada Chapter. She is currently a SHRM-Certified Professional.
Director of Quality and Risk Management
Tracey joined the Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth Las Vegas team in May 2005 and currently serves as the director of quality and risk management. She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management which focuses on developing and implementing safe and effective patient care practices. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Arts in exercise sports science: athletic training and Master of Arts in organizational management. She has served as an active associate faculty member for the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Phoenix, Nevada Campus since 2007. Tracey is committed to continuously improving quality outcomes, operational excellence and the patient experience. She is proud to be a member of a hospital committed to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and return to back to the community.
Area Business Development Director
Mary Clarke joined Encompass Health as the Area Business Development Director for Desert Canyon, Henderson and Las Vegas in 2019 where she is responsible for hospital inpatient volume through the development and implementation of effective business strategies and market analysis. Mary brings over 20 years of healthcare marketing experience to her position. She also worked for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospitals in New Jersey (formerly HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospitals) from 2005 to 2017.
Ray has been the Controller for Encompass Health Las Vegas (EHLV) since 2016. Ray came to EHLV with 20+ years of diverse experience in finance, leadership, and management. Most recently, Ray served as the senior financial analyst at Intermountain Healthcare in St. George, UT. As controller for EHLV, Ray leads several operational departments and is responsible for all financials, labor management, contracts and hospital budgets. Ray volunteers his time for local non-profit organizations and enjoys coaching and mentoring children and young adults. Ray earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Weber State University.
Director of Therapy Operations
Pamela is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia and has been a practicing physical therapist for over 21 years. She has been with Encompass Health, formerly HealthSouth for over 11 years and joined the Valley View team in 2012. Her experience includes treating neurological, orthopedic, geriatric, and even orthopedic pediatric conditions in several different settings. In 2012 she obtained her Orthopedic Specialist Certification.
