Chief Executive Officer
With more than 15 years’ experience in healthcare management, Noomi brings a unique people and processed focused leadership style to Encompass Health. Her passion for process improvement and efficiency derives from her educational background where she obtained both her master’s degree and bachelor’s degree from the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark where she was born and raised. Noomi's healthcare experience spans a wide range from the acute care hospital setting to the pharmaceutical industry where she has served in several different leadership roles. She is a results driven leader who is passionate about understanding the reason behind everything we do and gets energized by working with her team to remove barriers in day-to-day operations.
Medical Director
Dr. Miller is the medical director of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Littleton. He received his doctorate in 2011 from the Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. having more than six years of diverse experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital affiliated with Chicago Medical School and the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Wheaton, Ill. Dr. Miller is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the ABPMR. He is married with a son and a Colorado native.
Dr. Miller is an independent private practice physician.
Senior Human Resources Director
Stephanie joined the Encompass Health Littleton team in 2015. She has more than two decades of diverse, progressive and multi-state human resources experience. Stephanie serves in a senior capacity in the West region along with training leadership on management skills and functioning as a preceptor for new HR directors. She earned an undergraduate degree in human rehabilitative services with a minor in community health from the University of Northern Colorado and a master’s degree in education from Colorado State University.
Director of Quality & Risk Management
Britanie joined the Encompass Health Littleton team in 2015. She obtained her master's degree in healthcare administration from Colorado State University with a focus on project management. While pursuing her undergraduate degree in public health at the University of Colorado Denver, she worked as a research assistant in the department of health and behavioral sciences, concentrating on gerontology and building social capital. Britanie serves on the national quality leadership board for Encompass Health and as a preceptor for new directors in the West region.
Facilities Management Director
Born and raised in Denver, Lee joined the Navy after high school and served four years in the Philippines and Japan. He earned two bachelor’s degrees from Metropolitan State University and served as a deputy sheriff in Jefferson County for 13 years. He has more than 20 years of experience as a maintenance director in skilled nursing, independent living, assisted living and memory care facilities and is certified in both laundry and environmental services.
Director of Pharmacy
Katie joined Encompass in 2019 and has 20 years of experience in pharmacy. She received her pharmacy doctorate in 2017 from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. She is a Colorado native, born and raised in Boulder.
Chief Nursing Officer
John joined Encompass Health in 2017 as part of the Developing Future Chief Nursing Officer program. Originally from Carlsbad, New Mexico, John obtained a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of New Mexico. In 2004 he moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and obtained his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arizona State University. John’s nursing experience includes several major components of the healthcare continuum including critical care, acute care and post-acute care. He has a passion for post-acute services, specifically acute rehabilitation; and enjoys sharing his background in business, nursing and leadership as a contribution to positive patient outcomes.
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Brendan Polun is an associate medical director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Littleton. He received his doctorate from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology in 2011 having over 6 years of diverse experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital affiliated with Chicago Medical School and the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Wheaton, Ill. Dr. Polun is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the ABPMR. He is married with a son and is originally from Baltimore, Md. Dr. Polun has a passion for healthy living with the ability to help patients gain their independence.
Dr. Polun is an independent private practice physician.
Case Management Director
Chelsea joined the Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Littleton team in 2015. She obtained her master's degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Grand Canyon University. Her undergraduate degree is in psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Chelsea has a decade of experience and is a native of Alaska. She has resided in multiple states and now calls Colorado home.
Business Development Director
Kathleen has over 20 years of diverse multi-state experience in healthcare business development and marketing within the sectors of pharmaceuticals, skilled nursing, long term acute care, home health and hospice. She earned an undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in biology from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. Originally from New York, Kathleen relocated to Colorado in 2009 with her son.
Director of Therapy Operations
Sharon has been practicing physical therapy for 30 years with an extensive multi-state progressive leadership background in clinical, quality and operations. Sharon has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Southwest Texas State and a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Sharon grew up in Texas, and has lived in Alaska, Nevada and now lives in Highlands Ranch, where she, her kids, and animals have chosen to make their home.
