Aug. 23, 2023 - Nicole Woods, chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbia, has been selected for the 2023-2024 Leadership Columbus Class. Leadership Columbia is a Columbia Chamber program presented by BlueCross® BlueShield® of South Carolina for emerging and existing leaders in the Midlands.
“The Chamber is excited to welcome a new class of professionals to our Leadership Columbia program,” said Columbia Chamber President and CEO Carl Blackstone. “With over 2,200 members in the alumni network, our next class joins an elite group of leaders,” continued Blackstone.
This group will engage in a 10-month curriculum including monthly class day sessions, a retreat, a class project and a variety of enrichment activities around the area.
“I am very honored to be selected for the Leadership Columbia Class of 2024," said Woods. "By participating in this program, I hope to gain knowledge about the city of Columbia and the many attributes that make it a great place to work and live. In addition, I hope to make both long standing personal and professional relationships with top notch leaders in the city that are making a difference in their organizations and in their communities. I have had the pleasure of participating in programs like this in other cities where I’ve lived, and I still maintain great friendships that have lasted even after relocating to other states."
This will be the 51st graduating class of Leadership Columbia since its founding in 1972.
