Reese will oversee three hospitals in Missouri and Illinois
Aug. 30, 2023–Jeff Reese has been appointed as area chief executive officer within Encompass Health’s Central Region. In his position as area CEO, Reese will oversee all of the day-to-day operations and patient care and quality at two Missouri hospitals – Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of St. Louis in Central West End and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of St. Louis in St. Peters – and the Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois in Shiloh. He assumed the position in August 2023.

Reese has been with Encompass Health since 2015 serving as the controller at Rusk Rehabilitation Center and most recently serving as the CEO for Van Matre Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute for the last five years. In addition, he has been the Interim CEO at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute of Libertyville for the last six months. Prior to joining Encompass Health, Reese served as a financial analyst at various health systems in Missouri.
Reese completed his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree, both in business management at Northwest Missouri State University. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
