Chief Executive Officer
JoAnna serves as chief executive officer at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria. JoAnna first joined Encompass Health Alexandria in 2015 as chief nursing officer and then entered into the Developing Future CEO program within Encompass Health. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in clinical, operational and leadership roles within acute and critical care hospital settings. She earned an associate‘s degree in nursing from Louisiana State University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northwestern State University and a master’s degree in nursing and healthcare management from Loyola State University.
Medical Director
Dr. Budde serves as medical director for Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria. He began his time at Encompass Health Alexandria in 2020 as an attending physician. Since 2019, he has served as an attending physician at numerous Alexandria and Bossier City acute care hospitals and served as chief of staff at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, Colorado. He began his medical education at J.J.M. Medical College in India. He completed his residency at LSU Health and a fellowship in advanced critical care resuscitation from Resuscitation Leadership Academy.
Dr. Budde is an independent private practice physician.
Business Development Director
Pauline was named business development director at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria in 2021. Prior to assuming her current role, she has been in various rehabilitation services for nearly 15 years. With a background in nursing, she has experience in emergency room, labor and delivery, ICU, cardiac, home health and hospice, assisted living and community care nursing.
Director of Therapy Operations
Vicki brings more than 20 years of rehab experience to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria where she has been employed since 1996. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in 1989. Vicki also serves on the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association Board.
Director of Quality & Risk Management
Carolyn serves as director of quality and risk at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital Alexandria. She has over 30 years of healthcare experience, most with the Department of Defense. She has experience in behavioral health, emergency room, post anesthesia care, quality/risk/patient safety management and is a Certified Case Manager. Carolyn graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing from Louisiana State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University.
Pharmacy Director
David has served as director of pharmacy at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria since January 2023. Prior to joining Encompass Health, he became a published author in the Southern Medical Journal on pharmacist involvement in transitions of care. David worked as a clinical pharmacist in an acute care hospital for three years. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Controller
Joseph serves as the controller at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria. He brings over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance. Joseph previously worked for five years at a public accounting firm in Abbeville, Louisiana before coming home to Pineville, where he spent six years at Central Louisiana Electric Company. Joseph’s job history includes management and advisory services with critical access hospitals and home health agencies, assisting with CMS compliance and cost reporting. Joseph values teamwork and a commitment to excellence. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Louisiana. Joseph obtained his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He later earned his master's degree in business administration with a finance concentration from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
Director of Case Management
Brittany has been the director of case management at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria since January 2021. Prior to assuming the director role, she was a case manager for Encompass Health for five years. Her prior nursing experience includes emergency room, labor and delivery and community care nursing. She obtained her associate degree in nursing from Louisiana State University at Eunice in 2012, is board certified in case management, and is currently enrolled in a BSN program with projected completion date of April 2022. She values teamwork and is a dedicated to ensuring that each patient receives compassionate, holistic, patient-centered maximizing patient outcomes and facilitating a safe transition home.
Facilities Management Director
Ron began his role as director of facilities management at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria in September 2023. He brings over 30 years of facility plant operations experience to the team. He has held leadership roles in commercial real estate, automotive plant operations, railroad repair plant operations mining operations and healthcare. He earned his associate’s degree in industrial technology and is certified in ammonia refrigeration.
Human Resources Director
Lennisha brings a combination of more than 25 years of healthcare experience and 15 years of human resources expertise to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria. An Alexandria native, she completed her associate's degree and bachelor's degree with a concentration in human resources management from the University of Phoenix. Lennisha is a member of Central Louisiana Society for Human Resources Management (CLSHRM) and holds a certificate in Leadership Development Central Louisiana from Louisiana State University at Alexandria.
Chief Nursing Officer
Angela serves as the chief nursing officer at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Alexandria. Angela joined Encompass Health in September 2024. She has 37 years of critical care experience, which includes her expertise at the beside as a critical care educator, ICU /CVICU bedside clinician, critical coordinator, charge nurse, director of medical surgical services and ICU services and adjunct educator at Louisiana State University of Alexandria and Northwestern State University College of Nursing. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is also a chapter advisor for the American Association of Critical Care Nurses at the national level. She has been an active instructor and regional faculty member of AHA for over 30 years. She continues to educate and foster professional growth through her support and mentorship of nursing colleagues through the American Association of Critical Nurses.
