At AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Located in Anderson, South Carolina, outside of Greenville, we serve upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia as a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, hip fracture and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Denise Murray assumed the role of CEO in April 2017. She came to AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital from Community Hospital Corporation where she served as chief executive officer for a long term acute care hospital in North Carolina. Denise has more than 22 years of hospital leadership experience with the majority of it being in acute and long term acute care for not-for-profit organizations. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Gardner Webb University.
Medical Director
Dr. Vogenitz has worked for AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital since the opening in 2003. He started his career in physiatry in 1999. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical College and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) at Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation in North Carolina. Dr. Vogenitz is board certified in PM&R and belongs to the American Academy of PM&R and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Vogenitz is an independent private practice physician.
Director of Pharmacy
Jonny joined the AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital's leadership team in June 2018. He graduated with his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2015 from Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy. He is also currently pursuing his MBA and a certification in pain management to bring insight to both his leadership team and to patient care at his hospital.
Service Line Medical Director
Dr. Fry is the service line medical director at AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Fry has over 15 years of experience as medical director of a medical rehabilitation unit at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Kenmore NY. Her clinical interests include spinal cord, brain injury, stroke, and hip fracture. Dr. Fry completed her internship in 1993 in the Department of Internal Medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo and her residency in 1996 at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Fry is a 1986 graduate from Houghton College, Houghton, NY. She was board certified in 1999 by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Fry is an independent private practice physician.
Director of Therapy
Doug Glenn has been with Encompass Health since 2002. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, he went on to receive a degree in physical therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Doug joined the AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital team in 2008 after transferring from the Encompass Health in Ruston, Louisiana where he worked as a physical therapist since 2002. NDT trained and Neuro-IFRAH certified, he is able to offer insight for managing patients with hemiplegia and is a member of the stroke team.
Human Resources Manager
Mandy has been with AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital since April of 2005. She has more than 25 years of experience in human resources management. An Anderson native, Mandy enjoys spending time on the lake with family.
Director of Health Information Management
As an Anderson native, Keri joined AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital in 2005. She formerly managed the regional business office for seven Encompass Health facilities. Keri serves as our facility HIMS director, HIPAA privacy officer, ITG Liaison and medical staff credentialing. Keri has more than 15 years of healthcare experience in billing, coding, auditing, denials management and medical record compliance. Keri is a resource in assisting other Encompass Health hospital with various needs and leads our team in ensuring completeness of health records and privacy of protected health information.
