Chief Executive Officer
Mindy was named CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington in October 2024. Mindy brings over a decade of experience in acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation settings where she was responsible for strategic planning, business development and process improvement initiatives. Mindy is passionate about providing patient-centered quality care in the community she serves. She earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from The University of Texas at Arlington.
Medical Director
Dr. Bussell has been affiliated with Encompass Health since 1994. He earned a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed an internship at the Swedish Covenant Hospital and his residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago-McGaw Medical Center. Dr. Bussell is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Texas Medical Association, Tarrant County Medical Society and American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Bussell is an independent private practice physician.
Facilities Management Director
Monroe joined Encompass Arlington in March 2023. He has extensive experience in the healthcare industry and has been a leader in facilities management since 2016. Monroe graduated from Jackson State Community College and obtained his CHFM certification from the American Hospital Association and CHSP certification from the International Board for Certification services and management.
Pharmacy Director
Dr. Antonio Carrion graduated cum laude from the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Florida A&M University (FAMU) with a doctorate in pharmacy. After graduation, he completed a post-graduate year one residency in ambulatory care/HIV at FAMU, in collaboration with the Leon County Health Department. He then obtained a master’s degree in public health, with a focus in health policy and management, from the Institute of Public Health at FAMU. Dr. Carrion is a board-certified HIV pharmacist, vaccine pharmacist and consultant pharmacist.
Controller
Kathy joined the team as chief financial officer in June 2008. She is a certified public accountant and has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southwestern Adventist University. Kathy has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare finance and administration.
Director of Case Management
Amanda started her career at Encompass Health in 2014 as a case manager. She moved into the role of case management director in November 2023. Amanda graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with her bachelor’s degree in social work in 2014 and received her master's degree in social work in 2016. As the director of case management, Amanda is passionate about providing our patients with the support and services they need to have a successful discharge and reintegration back into the community.
Human Resources Director
Erin joined Encompass as the human resources director in 2019. As a healthcare HR professional with more than 20 years of experience, Erin is dedicated to providing our team the development, support and resources they need so they can provide the very best care for our patients. Erin holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University, an MBA from Texas Woman’s University, and is dually certified in human resources by the Society of Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Certification Institute. She has previously served on the board of directors of the Dallas Fort Worth Healthcare Human Resources Association and is bilingual in Spanish.
Director of Therapy Operations
Gina began her career with Encompass Health as a physical therapist in 2012, quickly moved into a senior physical therapist role, and was promoted to the director of therapy services in 2022. She is proud to lead an outstanding therapy department that delivers compassionate, high-quality and research based interventions. Gina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and a doctorate in physical therapy from Marquette University in 2012.
Director of Quality & Risk
Lucy started her career with Encompass Health in 2017.
Lucy started her career with Encompass Home Health in 2017 and later served as quality and risk coordinator at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Dallas prior to joining Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Richardson. In her current role, she facilitates compliance for the hospital related to CMS requirements, The Joint Commission standards, and state/federal regulations. Lucy has more than 20 years of experience serving in different healthcare roles to include direct patient care, leadership and consultancy. She earned her associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas and holds a master's degree of jurisprudence in health law from Loyola University, Chicago. Lucy is a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association.
Chief Nursing Officer
A true example of internal career growth, Brittany started her career at the Encompass Health Hospital in Jonesboro in 2005. While there, she worked as a nurse tech and unit secretary, leaving in 2011 to serve in the U.S. Army and complete her education. Brittany joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington in 2019 as a registered nurse, receiving numerous promotions, culminating in being named chief nursing officer in 2024. As a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) herself, Brittany champions staff to obtain their professional certifications and grow through our career ladders so that our patients benefit from the exceptional care that true rehabilitation experts provide. Brittany holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Arkansas State University, and she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing at Texas Tech University. Brittany proudly continues her military service in the U.S. Army Reserve, where she holds the rank of Major.
Area Business Development Director
Becky has more than 10 years of healthcare experience and graduated with her master's degree in social work in 2007 from the University of Missouri. She started her career in healthcare as a social worker in a community clinic and transitioned into hospital case management. In 2016, she pivoted her career into sales and marketing where she has combined her love for helping people and passion for inpatient rehabilitation.
