Chief Executive Officer
Gina Tipton is the chief executive officer of Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta. She is experienced in healthcare operations, leading a rehabilitation hospital for more than 10 years before joining Encompass Health. She is focused on building people up individually and in cultivating a positive team culture. Gina is a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse dedicated to serving patients and communities. She is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and MBA.
Medical Director
Dr. Kyle Aman is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as brain injury medicine. He completed his residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center and his fellowship at Carolinas HealthCare System.
Chief Nursing Officer
Angela brings more than 28 years of nursing expertise to Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta. She is board certified in healthcare quality, risk management and nursing executive leadership. Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, a master’s degree in nursing from University of Phoenix and a doctorate in nursing practice from Capella University.
Director of Human Resources
Ryan has more than eight years of experience overseeing business operations by developing policy and procedures, designing on-boarding and training programs and opening two new business. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2017 from Georgia State University in Atlanta Georgia with a major in art history and minor in political science. D’Amico is passionate in helping others maximize their experience and cultivating a positive culture.
Director of Pharmacy
Dr. Jackson, with over 15 years of pharmacy experience, is a valuable addition to the Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta team. A native of Atlanta, she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Clayton State University before obtaining her doctoral degree in pharmacy and master’s degree in public health from Mercer University. Dr. Jackson has a diverse background in pharmacy, including experience in outpatient, intensive care, internal medicine and oncology settings. She joined Encompass in 2021, bringing her expertise and passion for patient care to the team.
Director of Case Management
With over 20 years of experience, Kagale is a registered nurse and holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of St. Augustine for health sciences, a master’s degree in operations management from the University of Arkansas and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from South University. A dynamic healthcare leader, she excels in fostering high-performing teams and implementing innovative strategies to enhance quality of care and operational efficiency. Kagale excels in transition and coordination of patient care across the continuum, staff governance and development, regulatory compliance, and process improvement, Kagale collaborates efficiently with multidisciplinary teams to exceed patient expectations.
Business Development Director
Donna is a seasoned registered nurse with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. She currently serves as the business development director at Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta, her fourth hospital with the company. With a passion for improving patient outcomes and expanding access to quality care, Donna is committed to making a positive impact in the metro Atlanta community.
Director of Quality & Risk
Naja brings nearly 20 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience to Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta. She has worked in a variety of capacities, from rehab technician to admissions and physical therapist, before finding her home in quality. Naja is an Atlanta native who completed her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology at Georgia Southern University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. As the director of quality & risk, she is passionate about helping this team to provide the best quality care to you and your loved ones.
Director of Therapy Operations
Ellen brings more than 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry serving patients in the acute care, in-patient rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. She has served as a leader of therapy for the past 10 years. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Ellen earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology. She is passionate about improving the lives of her patients by increasing their functional independence. Ellen strives to create a culture of interdisciplinary partnership and engagement. She makes it a point to consistently teach and demonstrate the Encompass value, Stronger Together.
Controller
Mawuna joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Atlanta in February of 2024 as part of the hospital’s inaugural leadership team. He brings more than 20 years of accounting, decision support and healthcare finance experience to the team. He has held key financial leadership positions at a variety of acute care teaching and research health systems in New York, Georgia and Tennessee. Mawuna earned his master’s degree in business administration from University of Ottawa in Canada, his master’s of accounting and financial management from Keller Graduate School of Management and his master’s in healthcare administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. In addition, he is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
