Area Chief Executive Officer
Lora was named chief executive officer of Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in July 2018.
Lora was named chief executive officer of Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in July 2018 bringing more than 20 years’ healthcare leadership experience in long term acute care and non-profit acute care settings to the role. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia College and State University. In addition, she is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Chief Executive Officer
Kendra is the chief executive officer for the Piedmont Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital.
Kendra is the chief executive officer for the Piedmont Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Sermarini brings more than thirteen years of clinical and leadership experience to her new role. She started her career with Piedmont in 2010 as a physical therapist before being promoted in 2013 to manager at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside. In 2019, she was promoted to administrator, rehabilitation services. In 2022 she was named CEO of the Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus. Sermarini obtained a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Georgia and holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Medical College of Georgia.
Director of Case Management
Jamie brings more than 15 years of clinical and leadership experience to Encompass. She started her career in 2008 as a labor and delivery nurse before being promoted to nurse manager in 2012. She then transitioned to case management in 2015 as a well-rounded discharge planner. In 2018 she joined Piedmont Northside Inpatient Rehabilitation as the admissions coordinator. Jamie graduated from Jacksonville State University with her bachelor's degree in nursing.
Controller
Megan is the controller for the Piedmont Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of North Dakota with a minor in supply chain management and operations, Megan began her career with Encompass Health at the Altru Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. In 2025, Megan joined the senior leadership team as the controller for the Piedmont Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus.
Human Resources Director
With over 15 years of comprehensive experience in human resources, Eric has developed expertise in fostering workforce engagement and enhancing employee relations across various healthcare settings, including hospitals in New York City and the Atlanta metro area. His proficiency in full-cycle recruiting has been instrumental in building strong, cohesive teams and improving communication between management and front-line employees. As a proud graduate of Southern University and A&M College in Louisiana, Eric also holds a master’s degree in human resources management from Keller Graduate School of Management. He leverages his innate abilities to cultivate positive workplace cultures, driving efficiency and organizational success through strategic HR initiatives. Eric is committed to empowering employees and management alike, ensuring a collaborative environment that promotes growth and development within the healthcare industry.
Area Business Development Director
Ivy has a passion for healthcare and brings to Regional Rehabilitation Hospital 20 years of sales and marketing experience.
Ivy has a passion for healthcare and brings to Regional Rehabilitation Hospital 20 years of sales and marketing experience. She was a rehab liaison for 10 years before she became a hospice care coordinator with Kindred Hospice. She recently returned to Regional Rehabilitation Hospital as the business development director. Ivy graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in health science.
Director of Pharmacy
Kristy received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. After graduating, she spent 11 years working in the community pharmacy setting where she led a talented team of pharmacists, technicians and support staff focused on optimizing medication management and patient outcomes. She joined Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus as the director of pharmacy in December 2024 where she oversees all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety and efficiency. She is committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, utilizing data-driven approaches to streamline pharmacy processes while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to promote best practices in medication therapy and patient education.
Facilities Management Director
Kyle joined the Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus in 2023, bringing with him over 14 years of experience in hospital maintenance. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on healthcare management from Liberty University, as well as an associates degree in business administration from Abraham Baldwin. Kyle is actively involved in the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and the Georgia Society of Healthcare Engineers (GASHE). In his role as facilities management director, he acts as the safety officer and manages the environmental services, security, dietary and plant operations departments. Additionally, he holds a certification as a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) by the American Hospital Association (AHA).
Director of Quality & Risk
Kimberly has been employed with Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus since it opened in 2023. She has a 32-year career in healthcare and worked many years as a surgical services coordinator and a rehabilitation liaison. She has worked as a legal nurse consultant for local attorneys and as a quality/risk coordinator for Encompass. Kimberly has a bachelor's degree in nursing from Troy University and a master's degree in health law from Nova Southeastern University.
Director of Therapy Operations
Melanie brings 16 years of physical therapy experience to Piedmont Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Columbus. A Tennessee native, she graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a doctorate degree in physical therapy. She has 13 years of experience in a supervisory role with 3 years in a management role with experience managing inpatient rehab, acute care and outpatient therapy services.
