At Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord, we are committed to helping you regain independence after a life-changing illness or injury. Serving the city of Concord and central New Hampshire, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, spinal cord injury and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions.
Using clinical collaboration and advanced technologies, we provide a personalized care plan designed to meet your unique needs and help you achieve your goals.
Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
Rehabilitation is covered in full or part by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our hospital has contracts with most major insurance companies and is willing to negotiate with other companies, as needed.

Chief Executive Officer
Sharon has nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare, with the majority of her career spent in acute inpatient rehabilitation. She has held progressive positions as occupational therapist, stroke program leader, occupational therapy clinical leader, and has been a member of the senior leadership team as the director of therapy operations at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland since 2012. She serves on the quality advisory committee at MaineHealth Care at Home, currently holds the position as legislative chair for the Maine Occupational Therapy Association and is a member of the Maine Stroke Alliance. She is a seasoned professional whose commitment to extraordinary patient care is foremost in her role as a clinician and as a leader. Sharon is a graduate of Quinnipiac University.
Medical Director
Dr. Jeremy Giere Collins is ACGME board certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation and interventional spine and pain management.
Dr. Jeremy Giere Collins is ACGME board certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation and interventional spine and pain management. He graduated with honors from the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Collins is a former assistant clinical professor at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Dr. Collins is an independent private practice physician.
Director of Pharmacy
Brenda began her pharmacy career in 1991 working in community pharmacy until joining the team at Encompass Health in 2014. She was a clinical staff pharmacist until 2020 when she became director of pharmacy. She is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy Boston with a minor in industrial pharmacy.
Facilities Management Director
Dennis has 22 years of experience in facilities management, with the majority of his career at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord. He’s held progressive positions as maintenance supervisor, plant operations director and was promoted in 2021 to an area facilities management director where he assists multiple Encompass Health hospitals within the Northeast Region. Dennis serves as the hospital’s safety officer and ensures compliance with the Joint Commission Accreditation Standards as well as compliance with all state, local and federal regulations regarding the environment of care. Dennis is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE)
Quality/Risk Director, Quality Assurance
The majority of Suzy’s 15 year career in healthcare, prior to Encompass Health Concord, was spent working with the state of New Hampshire at the Department of Health and Human Services at New Hampshire Hospital. Her career with the state started as a utilization review coordinator, then a quality and compliance specialist, ultimately moving into the position of director of quality and utilization management. She earned her master’s degree in human services administration (MHSA) from Antioch University New England, and her bachelor's degree in psychology from Saint Martin’s University.
Controller
Judy became Encompass Health Concord's controller in 2018 and brings with her more than 30 years of experience in finance, mostly spent in a healthcare setting. She received her MBA in leadership from Franklin Pierce College and her BA in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. Prior to HealthSouth, she spent 10 years at LRGHealthcare, most recently serving as the director of accounting. Judy is the treasurer of NHMGMA and a former member of the Partnership for Public Health board in Laconia, NH.
Director of Therapy Operations
Karen has practiced in the field of speech language pathology for 30 years. After obtaining her master's degree in speech language pathology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, she completed her clinical fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Since then, she has worked in numerous healthcare settings including skilled nursing, acute care, home care, acute rehabilitation and outpatient. Karen has focused much of her career in rehabilitation management at the facility and area director level. She joined the Encompass Health team as the senior speech pathologist in 2000 and was promoted to director of therapy operations. In addition to her work at Encompass Health, Karen is the medical liaison for the New Hampshire Speech Language Hearing Association.
Director of Human Resources
Myra joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord in 2007 and brings more than 18 years of human resource experience in a healthcare setting to her role of human resources director. Throughout her healthcare experience and previous experience in hospitality, she has learned how to be a proactive management executive, with strong leadership skills in strategic planning and implementing policies and programs based on company oriented goals. Myra recently served on the board of directors for the Manchester Community Health Center for 12 years and is a member of the New Hampshire Hospital Association.
Director of Case Management
Kate joined Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in 2000 and was promoted to the director of case management in 2004. Kate holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York. She completed her internship in at Loretto Geriatric Center in Syracuse, New York. Kate is a member of the Case Management Society of New England and participates in the Case Management and Social Workers Leadership meetings of New Hampshire.
Chief Nursing Officer
Brandon came to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Concord in 2021 with more than 20 years of nursing at Concord Hospital. Her background is in medical, surgery, urology, post procedural and post-surgical care. While in acute care, Brandon delivered care at the bedside and served as a charge nurse and preceptor for new staff. She then moved into the facilitator of patient flow for the organization. Brandon spent the last 10 years of service in acute care as a nurse manager of a 38-bed surgical, trauma and telemetry unit. She is well known for her dedication to patients and crossing departmental divides to provide the best care possible. Brandon possesses a passion for developing and supporting clinical teams at the bedside. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s degree from New England College.
