Blake is the CEO at Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in Evansville, Ind.. Blake has been with Encompass Health since 2009 and has served in other senior leadership roles for the company. Prior to Encompass Health, Blake served as chief operating officer for a multi-state nurse staffing firm. He currently serves as the president of a non-profit transportation company serving seniors and has been a board member of that organization since 2006. Blake is actively involved in youth sports and is the director of a church-based sports program. He earned a bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and a master’s degree in business administration from Western Governor’s University Indiana.

Dr. Adeel is a fellowship trained and board-certified rehabilitation physician who was named associate medical director in March 2016. He has practiced at Staten Island University Hospital in New York where he was a clinical instructor in the rehabilitation medicine residency program. Dr. Adeel graduated from Kakatiya Medical College in Warrangal, AP, India in 1992.

Dr. Bashar Mourad is the associate medical director at Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Mourad is certified in internal medicine and nephrology. He attended medical school at Damascus University in Syria and completed his residency at Ravenswood Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, and his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Previously, he has been employed by Ohio Valley Nephrology Associates and has been affiliated with Baptist Health and Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Dr. Mourad is an independent private practice physician.

Dr. Bhasin is the program director of internal medicine. He graduated from the Government College Punjabi University Patiala in 1990. He performed clinical research at General Hospital in San Francisco, California. Dr. Bhasin moved to the United States in 1995 and relocated to Evansville in 2003 where he currently has a private practice. He was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2004 with a nephrology subspecialty.

Julie has been a member of the Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital team since 2013. She started with the company as an occupational therapist before moving into the therapy team lead role for our satellite unit in Deaconess Midtown Hospital in 2018. In 2021, Julie transitioned into the role of director of case management. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in occupational therapy from the University of Southern Indiana.

Brett has been a member of the Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital since 1996. He currently serves as the director of therapy operations overseeing physical, occupational and speech language therapies. He has served on various local and national boards over his career. Brett graduated from the University of Evansville with a master’s degree in physical therapy.

Rhonda Ramsey joined the Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital team in December of 2015. Prior to Encompass Health, Rhonda served on the finance team of a 400+ bed acute care hospital. She brings 25 years of healthcare finance experience to her role. She serves as treasurer on the South Spencer Scholarship Foundation. Rhonda earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Southern Indiana.

Anita Shaw joined Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in 2017. She brings multiple years of healthcare administration experience to her role. Anita served previously as the director of case management and director of quality/risk at Encompass Health Deaconess. She is a licensed clinical social worker, certified case manager and certified professional in healthcare risk management.

Anita serves the community by participating on the human rights committee for Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center and is the chairperson for human rights at Ireland Behavioral Health Services. 

Lauren has been with Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital since 2011. Lauren started her career at Encompass Health Deaconess as a physical therapist assistant and transitioned into the physical therapy team lead role in 2014. In 2018, she transitioned into the business development director role. She received her associate and bachelor’s degrees from The University of Evansville and a master’s of health administration from the University of Southern Indiana.

Misty joined Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in February 2022 as the human resource director. She has worked in long-term care, in-patient critical access, private clinic and has done consulting work for small business owners. Misty graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and HR management. She earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern Indiana and is a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional.

Doug joined Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in November 2010. He has worked in acute care, long-term acute care, retail pharmacy and has done consulting work for skilled nursing facilities. Doug is an associate professor for Purdue, Butler and SIUE schools of Pharmacy. He graduated with a Doctorate in Pharmacy degree from Butler University and possesses additional business major education from the University of Southern Indiana.
