On Sept. 12, 2019, a grand opening celebration was held for Encompass Health Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital in Evansville, Ind. The 80-bed hospital will replace the current hospital on Covert Ave. The hospital will begin serving patients on Sept. 15, 2019.

In an effort to better serve its patients, Encompass Health Corporation, formerly known as HealthSouth Corporation, and Deaconess Health System announce plans to build a new, freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital to replace HealthSouth Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital’s current location.
