Zach Kirby named CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence

Zach Kirby has been appointed as chief executive officer of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Florence. In his position as CEO, Kirby oversees all day-to-day operations, as well as patient care and quality, at the 88-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located at 900 East Cheves Street. He assumed the position on June 6, 2022.

COVID-19 survivor leaves Encompass Health to return home after nearly 300 days in hospital

Dan Thompkins spent nearly 300 days in the hospital fighting COVID-19 and was recently discharged from Encompass Health of Florence where he was treated with intensive therapy to help him return to normal daily activities.

Ann Addison’s grandson knew something was wrong when he found her unable to talk, swallow or walk. He took her to the emergency room where she was diagnosed as having a stroke.
